PLEASE NOTE:  payment details for  Property Tax year 2024 will be available late Q3 or early Q4 of 2024

The Municipality of La Paz has announced its temporary tax discount program for 2023-24.

Starting October 15, this temporary discount will run until the end of the November 2023. If you pay your 2024 property taxes before November 30th, 2023 in a single payment, a 30% discount on the total amount is offered. Payment can be made locally( MXP only ) at the Delegacion El Sargento y su anexo La Ventana office across from the base ball stadium. The Municipality of La Paz offices are located in the Ayuntamiento de La Paz where payment can be made via both MXP and credit/debit cards( my preference for record keeping ) Office hours are from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, you can pay your bill from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Have your clave catastra or title number handy to help you with the process at Servicios Catastrales offices on the first floor of the Municipality of La Paz building. This number can be found on your notary papers of the properties you have in La Paz.

Please note that there is also a 20% discount on your previous years property tax bill for those years that have not been paid as well as a 50% discount on all fines and late charges. Both of these discounts will be honored until December 31st, 2023.

**  If you are over 60 years old and have an INAPAM (Senior Citizen Card translated to English) you can take a 50% discount on your property taxes.  INAPAM cards are available in the main offices of the delegation in La Paz.

Also, you can head to  the Municipality of La Paz website to make your payment on-line. Payments on-line help avoid the sometimes long line-ups that can be found at the end of the month. My experience from past years is that the online payment system for the Municipality of La Paz leaves a lot to be desired, but it does exist and I have successfully completed the process once.
